It all started when I was a little girl and I used to go visit my grandmother "Mama Mayo" as everyone called her, she used to made her own sofrito with her own fresh ingredient right from her garden and she will ask me to help her prepare the ingredients and I will sit with her and enjoyed listening to her stories while preparing the ingredients for the sofrito then she will start blending all the ingredients and I remember that smell of the sofrito so unique and delicious Mama Mayo will sell her sofito pretty much to everyone, they love her sofrito and I know why?
